Asphalt Reinstatement – Perth City

Recently we completed an asphalt reinstatement around new pit lids in Perth City for Kevlar Group. This project marked another successful step forward in urban infrastructure improvements, as our team completed these asphalt reinstatement works.

Working in high-traffic environments always brings its own set of challenges, from maintaining public safety to ensuring minimal disruption. Precision is critical – especially when reinstating around pit lids, where poor workmanship can quickly lead to surface failure. Our focus was on achieving a clean, level finish, ensuring each lid sat flush with the surrounding pavement while maintaining strong compaction and proper bonding with the existing surface.

By using reinforced reinstatement methods, including high-performance materials, these upgrades are designed to withstand the demands of constant traffic and reduce long-term maintenance issues. Attention to detail at this stage plays a big role in extending the lifespan of the road surface and improving overall safety for road users.

It’s always satisfying to wrap up a job knowing the finished result not only looks right but will perform well under pressure. Another solid day on site, delivering quality outcomes where it counts.

Quick fact / Did you know?

To improve the look and durability of your asphalt repair and to prevent water from making its way into the road base beneath the asphalt you should consider applying a bitumen joint tape. A bitumen joint tape is effective at protecting the joint between the new and the existing asphalt and preventing water from undermining the repair. The bitumen tape is applied cold and heated with a gas hot torch to melt the tape to ensure it adheres to the asphalt with a lasting result. A typical bitumen joint tape will be 50mm wide and is supplied in a 15m or 20m roll.
