Today we completed a 15m long cut and replace asphalt patch repair for Charuga Building Services at Dianella Primary College in Laythorne St, Dianella.
Asphalt is a fantastic product that provides a wonderful smooth surface for a number of different purposes. Many we are familiar with such as airport runways, freeways, highways, local suburban roads, bicycle and pedestrian pathways and footpaths. Some we may not be so familiar with, such as bmx tracks, pump tracks, tennis courts, outdoor basketball and netball courts.
Many local schools have an extensive amount of asphalt installed for their kiss and drop, carparks, sports courts and pedestrian footpaths. It is inevitable that some of that asphalt will require replacement as it is worn away from vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
In this case the damaged asphalt was located along a kerb line of a pedestrian footpath, the footpath asphalt had simply been there a long time and worn away.
