Today we completed an asphalt patch repair in the carpark at Lynwood High School for Modus Property.
This was an important job to repair a busy high school carparking area to prevent damage to staff vehicles. The best option was to do a cut & replace patch.
Cut and replace asphalt repairs are completed by cutting and removing the damaged asphalt, usually to a neat square or rectangular shape, trimming or preparing the existing underlying road base to the required depth (e.g. 30mm), applying an adhesive bitumen spray to the patch, and then filling the patch with new asphalt flush with the existing. If an additional seal is required on the join between the old and new asphalt, a bitumen sealer tape can be applied.
Thanks to our technicians Anthony and Daniel for a job well done and thank you to our friends at Modus Property for engaging us to do the work.
